Aaltje bp. 2 March 1701 Brooklyn, of Gerrit and Lysbeth, witnesses for the two girls were Steven Richard and Maria his wife, Abram Jorisse and Aeltje his wife.[3]

Gerret's New York will dated Apr 16, 1711, probated Nov 3, 1712. In the will he calls himself "Gerret, son of Jan Gerretse Van Couvenhoven" His wife Aeltje was named and "my son Jan". He named his wife and his brother Nicesemus Cowenhoven and Theodorus Van Wyck as exe. Wits. Aris Johnson, Jacobus Simonsen, Harry Filkin. By the date of probate in November 1712 Aeltie was re-married to Jacobus Cozine. [4]
