Biography

Justice (or Justuse) married Martha Ann Lawrence, daughter of Luke and Mariah Lawrence, on November 11, 1863 in Brant County. By 1871 they are living in Onondaga with three children: Adda (7), James Foster (5), and Henrietta (1). Less than 10 years later they are living in the United States (Michigan) and appear in the US 1880 Census. The family now includes two more children (Lillian, age 8; Mable, age 5) both of whom were born in Canada. Justice's wife Martha died in 1892 and he was remarried by the time of the US 1900 Census. His second wife, whom he married on 30 Sep 1896, was Olive Lydia Bartlett (nee Johnson).
