Biography

Cornelis was baptized on 25 May 1690 at the Reformed Dutch Church in Kingston, New York, recorded as the child of Marinus Van Aken. The record does not include the name of his mother; it states that the parents were the witnesses.[1]

Cornelis Van Aken, j. m., born under the jurisdiction of Kingstown, married Zara Westbroek, j. d., born in Kingstown, on 30 April 1714, after registering banns on 11 April. The marriage was recorded in the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston.[2]

Ellen, there are three Cornelius van Akens. Hoping we can get it down to one. Use which ever one you wish to be the remainder. I'm okay with Van_Aken-281 being destination.

Van Auken-32 and Van Aken-281 appear to represent the same person because: Same person. Van Aken-281 is the lowest-numbered profile that has the best spelling for the LNAB.

Van Auken-32 and VanAken-6 are not ready to be merged because: Merge destination should be Van_Aken-281 to be consistent with other family members.
