Biography

Adeline attended public school in Watervliet, NY, earned a BA degree from Houghton College (NY), a BS in Educational Library Sciences from SUNY at Geneseo, and an MS in Education from SUNY at Albany. In her early working career, she taught in NY public high schools. Later she worked as a librarian at the Cleveland Bible Institute (OH), Malone College (OH), and 23 years at Olivet Nazarene College (IL) before retiring to Watervliet, NY, to help care for her mother Adeline (Zeh) Van Antwerp and aunt Jennie Zeh. She was an accomplished pianist and actively involved in the Church of the Nazarene, well into retirement, until health prevented it. Close family called her "A. Ruth", to distinguish her from her mother Adeline. ^[1]
