Frederick Van Cortlandt baptism 23 April 1699 New York, Father: Jacobus van Cortlandt Mother: Eva Philips 
Frederick was named in his father's will dated 12 May 1739 to inherit certain land. Frederick was to be executor of the will. 
Frederick Van Cortlandt of Yonkers, will dated Oct. 2, 1749. " My body to be buried in a family vault which I intend to build on my Plantation on the little hill, which lyes to the north eastward of Turtle Brook." " Whereas I am now finnishing a large stone house on the plantation on which I now live, which with the said Plantation will, by virtue of my father's will devolve on my eldest son James" I leave him my mill boat and canoe. Leaves lots and houses in New York to children Ann, Eve, Augustus and Frederick. Makes wife Frances and brother in law John Chambers, Peter Jay, and son James executors. Witnesses. Wm Stevenson Isaac Ver Millye Cornelius Vandenbergh Abraham Stagg. Proved Dec. 20, 1751. Liber 18. P. 61. Note: The daughter Ann married Nathaniel Marston. Eve married Henry White.
