Obituary: MRS. MARILYN HOTTLE The body of Mrs. Marilyn Hottle, 34, who died May 5 at Artiba (Aruba)in the Netherlands Antilles, has arrived at the Fairbanks home for funerals, Muscatine. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 at the funeral home. The body will be taken to the Letts Methodist church Saturday noon for the services at 2 p.m. (est) with burial at the Letts cemetery. Mrs. Hottle was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Van De Linder of Letts. She was married June 18, 1950, to Boyd E. Hottle. She was a member of the First Methodist church of Letts. Surviving are her husband; one son, Ridge Brian: one daughter, Gwen Ann; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Van De Linder of Letts; and two sisters, Mrs. Marjorie Hildebrand of Fullerton. Calif., and Mrs. Carol Bailey of Morgan Hill, Calif.[1]
Obituary: MRS. MARILYN HOTTLE Letts Mrs. Marilyn Joy Hottle, 33, former Letts resident, died Saturday morning, May 5, at Artiba (Aruba), located in the Netherland Antilles. She had been ill the past four years. Born at Henry, S. D., on Oct. 24, 1927, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Van DeLinder. She came to Letts while a child with her family and was educated here. She graduated as a registered nurse from St. Luke's hospital school of nursing at Davenport. She married Boyd E. Hottle on June 18, 1950. The couple resided at Seattle, Wash., live (five) years before going to Aruba where Mr. Hottle has been employed by the Standard Oil Co. for seven years. Mrs. Hottle was a member of the Letts Methodist church. Survivors include the widower, son Ridge Brian, a daughter Gwen Anne; two sisters, Mrs. Marjorie Hildebrand of Fullerton, Calif. and Mrs. Carol Bailey of Morgan Hill, Cal.; and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Van DeLinder of Letts. The body is to be brought to Fairbanks Home for Funerals in Muscatine where funeral arrangements arc pending.[2]
