In: Van Laer, A. J. F., ed., Pearson, Jonathan, trans. Early records of the city and county of Albany and colony of Resselaerswyck (Albany, NY: University of the State of New York), vol. 3, pp. 377-378. It is mentioned (in a power of attorney document, dated April 12, 1671) that Catalyntie van Elslant [Van_Elslant-1] (wife of Jacob Abrahamsz Kuyper) has a brother, Claes van Elslant, and a late father, Claes van Elslant.

Note: Her father was a member of the Council of New Netherland member during 1636-1637.

I'm not sure if this is enough info to justify creating a profile (for the brother and father), but the father is a significant individual in the New Netherland colony. I'll leave it for a NNS project person to decide.
