Hoi Bertil !

Hey Bertil,

Good to see you work hard on the profiles. Just one tip: please do not remove the auto tag <references />. That tag creates the automatic listing of references inside the text (the ones with <ref>source</ref>). When you remove it, the references list will not be generated.

P.S. To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.

Hi Cheryl

I am an old member that came back. I was helping my ex for awhile with her tree. since we divorced I am now under my own name. That is also why I adopted a lot of orphans, because they are my tree that my ex had filled in.

Hi Bertil

First welcome to WikiTree,

I saw that you just joined WikiTree Glad to have you aboard.

The reason I am writing is that I noticed you chose (or clicked on) our Integrators Challenge for this month.

Being that you have not become fully noted as a geneogolist and not familar with how we do things yet, please note that one must be with WikiTree about 3 months to participate. Actually the Integrator challenge is an advanced challenge that we offer.

When you complete a new profile for one of your relatives just skip over checking a challenge when trying to save the profile.

If you have any questions please get with a greeter and they will be glad to help you along the way. Also you can go here to see how we recommend newcomers to get started:

Thanks, Dorothy B. Integrator Project Coordinator

Hi Bertil!

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Sources are very important here on Wikitree, especially on Pre-1700 profiles. It is how we show where we got the info and help others find it too. Find out more about sources here and more detailed info here.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. If you have any questions, be sure to use the "reply link" for this comment so that I will be notified. You can also click my name to send a private message, or post a comment on my profile page.

Hi Bertil,

Thanks for having a Big Heart and adopting Orphan Profiles. You will want to read this After adopting orphans FAQ to understand what to do next and it explains the special attention those profiles need.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

I adopted this specific Orphan because it was started long time ago by my ex-wife (Heidi D. Young)

I also had a lot of work in it and I know she cant get back online since she has no place to call home except the blue sky as a roof.

Hi Bertil!

Since you uploaded a GEDCOM, I wanted to give you the link to a tutorial that one of our mentors created that others found very helpful. I hope that you will too.

Hi Johan!

I am pleased to welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.

I would suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration. Don't be afraid to ask questions in our G2G forum and get involved as much or as little as works for you. Be sure to check out the tabs at the very top right hand side of your profile, there is lots to discover!

I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do!

Happy tree climbing

Rhonda ~ WikiTree Greeter
