Please note: Data Doctors should not hesitate to correct that kind of technical error on a project-protected profile of the New Netherland Settlers Project. Project protection (PPP) is used to prevent erroneous merges and erroneous changes to family relationships. This is important for dealing with the complexity of the names found in New Netherland. Many protected profiles, like this one, need a great deal of improvement, but they had to be protected because of issues with names and relationships. PPP does not prevent editing of text, sources, place names, etc., and we absolutely do not want people to think that projects are using it to prevent needed profile improvements.
Van Pelt-125 and Van Pelt-28 appear to represent the same person because: they were in an unmerged match & the New Netherland Settlers Approval System (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:New_Netherland_Settlers_-_Approval_System) now has them marked "Green" (NNS Category) and "Orange" (Merge Pending), indicating that the two are ready to be merged. Thanks!
To clarify, this son had recently been attached to a new father. Previously the father field was blank.
But the newly attahced father was a newly created profile, with the wrong name. I changed the name to match the correct father, and a merge for the father is now pending.
Van Pelt-125 and Van Pelt-28 seem to be a match by name/date, but they have different fathers... could you take a look? (click compare by Van Pelt-125 at the bottom of this profile, where it's listed as an unmerged match)

This profile is showing up on a Suggestion 586 - Linked to a merged Memorial ID for Find A Grave report. The new Find A Grave memorial is # 174200448.
I didn't want to fix the link because this profile is PPP. Just wanted to let you know.
Thanks, Sheila
