Biography

Sara Van Schaick was born in Colony Rensselaerwyck, Albany, New York, on November 26, 1743.[1][2]She was baptized the next day, November 27, at the Reformed Dutch Church of Albany, a daughter of Johannes Van Schaick and Alida Bogaert.[3]

Sara married Christoffel Lansing on January 20, 1766 in Albany.[4]

Known children of Chrisotopher and Sara are Jacobus (James), Alida, Johannes, Hybertje, Cathalyntje, and Sarah. Sara died April 23, 1788, in Albany, New York.[5]

She died Apr. 23, 1788 and was buried[6] in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands, New York in Section 53, Lot 3 Lansing/ Pryun lot.
