VanValkenburgh-31 and Van Valkenburg-248 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, same dates and places of birth and death. Van Valkenburg is preferred LNAB, based on baptism record.

Van Valkenburgh-18 and Van Valkenburg-248 appear to represent the same person because: Vitals and relatives match. All other siblings (except Eva, who shows both spellings) are spelled without the "h" and there is already a Peter Van Valkenburg with a profile number of Van_Valkenburg-18. As to the correct name at birth, there were no standardized spellings at that time so the "correct" spelling would be whatever is decided by later convention. The consensus with this generation appears to be Van_Valkenburg.

Merged Van_Valkenburgh-2 into Van_Valkenburg-248 as exception to standard practice. All other siblings spell the name Van Valkenburg. Jannetje's brother Isaac is Van_Valkenburg-2. The surnames should be consistent for the nuclear family. If Van_Valkenburg-248 had been merged into Van_Valkenburgh-2, the names would have to remain inconsistent, and it could be confusing to have Van_Valkenburg-2 with a sister Van_Valkenburgh-2.
