Hi RUt,

I have worked on the family connections- Refer Keet-286 for the Citations. Henry Keet -64 and Henrik Keet 286 are indeed the same person. Hendrik Francios Keet was born on 2 Jun 1857 and baptised on the 21 Jun 1857 in Tulbagh. He married his cousin Maria Isabella Johanna KEET in December 1878 and they had 5 children. He later divorced Maria Isabella Johanna. There is a record on 11 March 1901 he arrived in the Middelberg , Transvaal British prisoner of War Camp together with Charlotte Jacoba Steyn, born van der Merwe ( Henry Francois Keet is the husband of Mrs Henry Francois Keet {Charlotte Jacoba} , the stepfather of Master Hendrik Frederik Steyn, the stepfather of Miss Sophia Charlotte Steyn, the stepfather of Miss Sussana Maria Cathrina Steyn.) The camp was closed on the 22 September 1902. A month later on 21 October 1902 he had a daughter, Charlotte born in Middelburg with Charlotte Jacoba van der Merwe {Mrs Henry Francios Keet) ,the ex wife of Lucas Cornelius Steyn. This daughter, Charlotte married Sybrand Johannes Albertus Abraham Du Preez on 10 Dec 1929 and passed away on 69 June 1961. Hendrik Francios passed away on 12 Jun 1903 in the Pretoria Asylum. Charlotte Jacoba Keet aka Steyn born van der Merwe passed away on 4 Jun 1904 and is buried in Roodepoort 418 JS, farm cemetery, Middelburg, South Africa. I have updated the profile Keet -286 with all the sources available. I Still need to create profile Lucas Cornelius Steyn who was married to Charlotte Jacoba van der Merwe on 22 March 1884 before joining Henry/Hendrik in the concentration camp in Middelberg with her 3 children. After their daughter Charlotte was born in October 1902 Henry/Hendrik must have been admitted to Pretoria Asylum where he died in 1903. Charlotte Jacoba is buried at the farm cemetery "Roodepoort 418 JS in Middelberg" Regards.Malcolm
