Ellen (Vandermark) Gilbert was born in 1833, the daughter of Peter Vandemark and Mary (unknown) Vandemark. She married William Gilbert on 28 Feb 1850. She and William had six or seven children. She died 13 Jan 1908 in South Hadley, Massachusetts.
