Catharine Van der Poel (1748-1818) (Van_der_Poel-311) and and Catherine Vanderpool (bef.1749-1818) (Vanderpool-119) seem in most respects to be the same person (same spouse, same death), but they have different dates of birth. It is likely enough that there were girls of this name baptized somewhere in New Jersey on both 25 August 1748 and 29 October 1749, so it may not be a good idea to merge the profiles.

A baptism record does exist with the date 29 0ctober 1749. The findagrave memorial states that her gravestone her age as 69 years 8 months and 14 days, which works out to a birthdate of 25 August 1748. Is there a record of a girl of that name baptized then? On the other hand, it is not impossible (but unlikely, in view of the prevailing customs and the indication that she was born in a fairly settled area where it was not difficult to get a child baptized) that her baptism was delayed more than a year. Additional records (marriage, baptisms of children, etc.) might help sort this situation out.

PS - Earlier the profile had a date of 10 October 1749 in the birth date field. That apparently is there because the previous entry was for a child born on 10 October and baptized on 29 October. The entry for this person has only the 29 October baptism date, with no birth date.
