Biography

Elizabeth Vandiver was born on 18 May 1816, in Kentucky, United States, her father, Abraham Vandiver, was 29 and her mother, Ann Burks, was 23. She married James Presley Mathers on 29 March 1837. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 8 daughters. She lived in Perry Township, Monroe, Indiana, United States for about 10 years. She died on 25 March 1863, in Monroe, Indiana, United States, at the age of 46, and was buried in Clear Creek Cemetery, Clear Creek, Perry Township, Monroe, Indiana, United States.
