I believe that Mary Vane alias "Maniel" on wedding records is merely the recollection of an illiterate girl of her mothers surname "Mandeville" who had died 7 years before. <G.R.>
A well behaved girl.
This girl is the natural daughter of one Wane a well sinker who died (May 1827) some time since & left this poor girl destitute. Mr & Mrs Neville took her home & have treated her with much kindness. They have endeavoured for some time to prevent her being married so young but so many are the temptations for a young girl & so many snares laid for her, that upon consulting with me they have judged it best to permit her to be married particularly as the lad is very sober & industrious.
1828 Census shows the Beauchamp family Maurice, Richard, Mary & William Vane together in Kelso near Bathurst. Richard & Mary tenant farmers at "Cheshire" farm. Maurice tenant farmer at Neville's Farm
She gives her correct age (born 1812) in the 1828 Census (attached) but after her marriage she started using 1810 as her birthdate, onwards for the remainder of her life. <GR>
27/10/1870 A Mary Beauchamp found guilty of receiving stolen sheep. Sentence 12 months Bathurst Gaol. As no age provided this conviction may refer to one of her daughter-in-laws. e.g. Alfred Beauchamp's wife Mary Beauchamp. <GR>

Up to within three weeks to her death the old lady was in the best of health, being able to converse freely and move about, there is no doubt that the excessive heat of the days preceeding her death, hastened her end, the funeral took place on Monday afternoon.
