Roscoe was born in September of 1863. The 1870 Census was taken during June of 1870 and the forms had to be in by September of that year. Roscoe would have been 6 years old during the census. What this shows is that Paris really was his first name, and that "Paris Vanover" and "Roscoe Vanover", listed separately in other sources, are actually one and the same person

Vanover-80 and Vanover-79 appear to represent the same person because: See information from 1870 Census in Vanover-79 that shows that Roscoe's first name was Paris. These are are the same person.

There is some tentative evidence that Paris Vanover is actually Paris Roscoe Vanover
