Emma Sarah Varney was born on May 27, 1848, in Charlestown, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, to Louisa Copps and Jacob Varney. ^[1]

Circa June 24, 1908, in Suffolk County, Emma married Augustus Barrett White. This couple had at least 3 children. ^{[2] [3]}

Emma died circa November 28, 1917, in Boston, Suffolk County. ^[4]
