Biography

Jonathan was born in 1799. He was the son of Matthew Varty and Sarah Pugmire.

Christening Date: 7 February 1799
Christening Place: Langwathby, Cumberland, England[1]

He married Sarah (?).

UK Census Date 1841: Living with his wife Sarah and their five daughters Grace, Mary, Elizabeth, Jane and Anne in Langwathby Village, Langwathby, Cumberland, England. Aged about 40. Also in the household was his mother Sarah and two other individuals.

Jonathan was a farmer.

He passed away in 1880 at the age of about 81. [2]
