Biography

Genevieve "Jean" Vasseur was born in 1878 and baptized in Opelousas, Louisiana. She was the daughter of Theogene Vasseur and Adelina Diaville. ^[1]

She married Ozeme Bertrand on 4 August 1897 in Opelousas, Louisiana. ^{[2] [3]}

She died on 26 Oct 1956 ^[4] and was buried in the Prairie Ronde Baptist Church Cemetery in Prairie Ronde, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. ^[5]
