Biography

James is noted as the father of William VAUGH in the family tree[1] drawn in Australia by Malvina Le VAUX (VAUGH) and sent to George VAUGH of the USA and from him to his first cousin Wilton VAUGH of Dromahair Co Leitrim IRE. Additionally he is noted as having a son James, who in turn has a son Gustavius supposedly in America,.

I've had to guess his birth date and this could be way out, this is the same for each of his brothers, there being no way, at present, to give an accurate date. I know from the deed noted in the source for his father James VAUGH that George was the eldest and John, my GGG grandfather, was the second.

Research Notes

My guess at his date of birth comes from his marriage settlement to his wife Ann[2] They were seperated sometime before 1821, this according to a deed of seperation.[3]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with William by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with William:
