There is no source posted that his middle name was Micajah. A previous source was attached to his profile showing a second marriage to Mary Smith in Mecklenburg, VA. This is thoroughly disproved by his Rev War Pension Application, sourced below.

William Vaughan III is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A118355.

24 Sep 1832. Grayson County, Virginia (as supplemented). William claimed to have been born in Hanover County, Virginia in the year 1760. His parents are here identified as William Vaughan and Mary Jane Napier. William served in the Revolutionary War. In an effort to collect pension from this service, William appeared before the Justices of the Court of Grayson County, Virginia in the year 1832.

After being first duly sworn in according to law, he made the following declarations: That he entered the service of the United States as a substitute for William Vaughn, the elder, in the year 1780 while residing in Bedford County. He marched under a Captain from Hillsboro in North Carolina, whose name was Philip Webber of Goochland County, Virginia and joined General Stevens' division of militia. He remained at Hillsborough some time, and then marched on through Guilford and Salisbury to Charlotte in North Carolina, and then marched down to the Pedee River and took up winter quarters near the Cheraw Hills. He remained there until about the 8th of February of the year the battle of Guilford was fought. They then marched to the old trading Ford on the Yadkin River, where he and those with him, came very nearly in contact with a part of General Cornwallis' Army, having crossed the river late in the evening, and the enemy arriving there early in the same night. Preparations were immediately made to give battle to the enemy but they did not cross the river at that time because they were attacked the same night by Morgan and his men, who after some severe fighting retreated, or at least the guns ceased firing. The next day he and those with him, in sight of the enemy, kept up a pretty smart fire across the Yadkin. He stated the most of the firing was done by a party of Catawba Indians who were friendly. From here he was marched by the aforesaid Captain Webber back through Guilford County, on to Pittsylvania old Courthouse, and there discharged. Shortly before the battle of Guilford, William was then called into a three month term of service in the militia under Captain Jeremiah Pate. They marched through Salisbury and Charlotte to Ninety Six in the State of South Carolina where he was constantly engaged in fighting the enemy for fifteen days and nights, with little intermission, under the command of General Nathaniel Greene (This was what is called the Siege of 96). He was then marched across Broad River and taken out of his Company for a wagon guard and went down upon the Wateree River near Camden. At this place, his Captain discharged the troops thus making his entire service nine months. William claimed to have resided in Bedford County throughout his service having resided in Grayson County, Virginia ever since the revolution. On January 27th, 1851 in Grayson County Virginia, Elizabeth Vaughn, age 73, filed for a widow's pension under the 1848 act stating that she was the widow of William Vaughn, a revolutionary war pensioner, and that she was married to him May 8, 1794. She stated her husband died March 22, 1841 and that she remained his widow. Family records included in the pension file of William Vaughn include:

i have found no record of this William being called Micajah except for Find A Grave, but no reliable record of the name. It was probably attached to him by accident when we thought he was the father of Kager. Please let me know if he ever used the name William M or K or Micajah or Kager.
posted by Raymond Nichols DD
if Cager married Mary Smith in 1811, then Hulda and the second John were hers, which means Eliza was divorced or dead or he had two wives. It would make sense that the second John was another wife's son, but if Mary married some other William Vaughan then she would not be their mother.
