Biography

Nanny was born about 1750.[1] She was the daughter of William T Vaughan. She passed away sometime shortly before 1849.

  • Nancy Ann Vaughan is the second wife of Richard W. Gregory. This information comes from the Shelby Co. Indiana General Library/Gregory Family history. Smith Gregory's widow moved there after Smith died in 1832 in Kentucky.

Comments

Richard W. Gregory died in 1817. His estate was kept open until final distributions were made in 1849. Normally, the only reason for keeping the estate open this long would be that his widow was still alive. This flies in the face of prior unsourced birth and death dates of 1735-1821.
