Biography
Jane's year and location of birth are taken from census records. Another Jane was born in the area around the same time to parents Thomas and Jane.
In 1841 Jane was living with parents William and Ann, and 5 siblings in Talgarth. Father William was a Farmer. [1]
In 1849 Jane married David Davies in Talgarth. David was a Farmer of Trefecca Fawr and Jane was confirmed to be from her family's farm Pen-yr-wyrlod. William Vaughan and Margaret Davies were witnesses. [2] The couple had at least 7 children.
In 1861 David and Jane were living in Brecknock with 5 children. David was a Farmer. [3]
By 1881 Jane was a widower and she was an Innkeeper at the Cock Inn, Bronllys, Breconshire. Children John and Annie were living with her. [4]
Jane died aged 67 in 1895. Her death was registered in Hay, Breconshire. [5]
