Sarah Ann Vaughan was born in 1848 in Longparish, Hampshire, England to William Henry Vaughan and Ann (Hill) Vaughan. Her birth was registered in Andover, Hampshire in the third quarter of the year.[1]
In 1851 Sarah Vaughan (age 2) lived in Longparish with her father William (40, Wheeler), mother Ann (37), and three older sisters: Lucy (14), Elizabeth (11), and Emma (5).[2]
In 1861 Sarah A Vaughan (age 12) lived at Windmill Hill in Droxford, Hampshire with her father William (50, Wheelwright) and mother Anne (47).[3]
Sarah Ann Vaughan married James Thomas Walton on 23 Jan 1870 in Isleworth, London.[4] The marriage was registered in Brentford, Middlesex in the first quarter of the year.[5]
In 1871 Sarah Walton (age 22) lived in Brentford, Ealing, Middlesex with her husband James (21, Labourer) and nephew Edward Barratt (11, Oil Shop Boy).[6]

In 1891 Sarah A Walton (age 43) lived at Hamilton Road in Ealing with her husband James T (42, Labourer), daughter Elsie A (7), and three lodgers: Elizabeth Duries (50, Living on Own Means), James Durie (48, Civil Engineer), and Roger N Chatton (22, Living on his Means).[7]
In 1901 Sarah Ann Walton (age 51) lived at Hamilton Road in Old Brentford with her husband James T (50, Waterworks Engine Driver) and daughter Elsie Alice M (17, School Teacher).[8]
In 1911 Sarah Ann Walton (age 62) lived in Chiswick, Middlesex with her husband James Thomas (61, Pensioned Engine Driver) and daughter Elsie A M (27, Certified Assistant Teacher).[9]
Sarah passed away on 5 Jan 1927: "WALTON Sarah Ann of 96 Wellesley-road Gunnersbury Middlesex (wife of James Thomas Walton) died 5 January 1927 at Warkworth House Isleworth Middlesex Probate London 19 February to Elsie Alice Maud Taylor (wife of John Taylor). Effects £4265 3s 5d."[10] Her death was registered in Brentford in the first quarter of the year.[11]
