In 1817 Lewis and Polly Vaughn witnessed the will of Travace Rees. The will named David Vaughn as executor of the estate and guardian of John Rees and Betty Rees. [3]
In 1824 in Spartanburg District, SC, Lewis Vaughan mortgaged property to John Baldwin. Deed Book S:405-406.[4]
The last census for Lewis is 1850 in Spartanburg Co., SC.[5]
