Biography

Rufus Alfred (Tuck) was born on November 5, 1918 in Jackson, Butts, Georgia. He was given the nickname, Duck, as a toddler because he waddled like a duck, but his younger sister, Fannie, could not say "duck" instead she said "tuck." So the nickname Tuck stuck.^[1]. His father was Braxton Bragg Vaughn (1888-1956) and his mother was Georgia Mae (Maddox) Vaughn (1889-1953). Rufus passed away on May 27, 1994 in Fulton County, Georgia at age 75.
