Family Background: Father: Robert Veazey (?-1767), a planter of Cecil County. Mother: Lucy, daughter of Charles Dermott (Dirmott), a planter of Cecil County, and wife Sarah. Sisters: Mary (1719-?); Lucy (1723-?); Elinor (1728-?); and Rebecca (1729-?). First Cousin: John Veazey (1701-1777). Married: Ann (?-1781). Children: Samuel; George (?-1789); Robert (?-1797); William; Edward (?-1776), a captain in Smallwood's Maryland Regiment, who was killed at the battle of Long Island; and probably John Veazey III (?-1777).

Local Offices: Standard keeper, Cecil County, 1759; Justice, Cecil County, 1764-at least 1774 (quorum, 1773-at least 1774); Chairman, Committee of Observation, Cecil County, 1776. Military Service: Colonel, Bohemia Battalion, Cecil County Militia, elected 1776.
Wealth During Lifetime: Land at First Election: Leased 145 acres (part of Bohemia Manor), Cecil County, 1753; purchased 328 acres in Cecil County, 1765, which he sold in 1768.
Wealth at Death: Died: Testamentary bond dated January 18, 1780, in Cecil County. Personal Property: TEV, £79,186.12.1 current money (including 14 slaves and books); FB, £75,813.16.1. Land: Lease on 145 acres in Cecil County.
