Ray Veith

PROPHETSTOWN, ILL. - Services for Ray C. Veith, 76, of Prophetstown, will be 1 pm Thursday at Gardner Chapel. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Park, Dixon.

Visitation is 6 to 8 pm, today.

Memorials may be made to the First Congregational Church, Prophetstown.

Mr. Veith died Monday at Sterling Community General Hospital.

He retired in 1972 as a crew leader at Commonwealth Edison, where he had been employed 32 years.

Mr. Veith married June Fouke in 1930. She died in 1949. He later married Adelaide Lawrence in 1968 in Largo, Fla.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Donna) Gaylord, Montgomery, Ala, and Mrs. Elson (Jean) Wilke, Hebron; sons, Donald, Bakersfield, Calif., and Robert, Moline; 2 stepdaughters and a stepson; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a sister and a brother.

Ray was born in 1907. He passed away in 1983. ^[1]
