WILTON—VENNELL,
WAIRARAPA DAILY TIMES, VOLUME 43, ISSUE 133074, 18 OCTOBER 1917
A pretty wedding was celebrated at Knox Church this morning, when Miss Maud Louisa Vennell, daughter of Mr Ernest Vennell, of Te Wharau, was married to Mr Roland A. Wilton, of Mauriceville, son of Mr R. F. Wilton, of Dreyer's Rock Road, Alfredton. The bride, who was given away by her father, was charmingly attired in cream silk, and wore the usual veil and orange blossoms. The bridesmaids, Miss Vennell and Miss Fanny Wilton, were prettily dressed in white voile. The Rev. Robert Inglis, M.A., was the officiating clergyman. After the ceremony a large number of guests attended a reception in Knox Hall, the catering for which was in the capable hands of Mr A. Styles. The large number of handsome presents bore testimony to the popularity of the young couple, who left, by the south afternoon train on their honeymoon trip.
