Maria Ursula Veramendi was born October 26, 1811 in San Antonio, Texas Colony.(present day  San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas). 
James Bowie on April 25, 1831.

She passed away September 10, 1833, in
Monclova, Coahuila de Zaragoza, Mexico. According to William Williamson and his reference regarding James Bowie, his wife died of cholera. 
She was buried in
San Fernando Cathedral, San Antonio, Bexar, Texas. Ursula's parents, Governor Juan Martin del Carmen Veramendi and María Joséfa Candida Navarro; and both children died of the cholera epidemic.
