He married Ann Furness on 30 September 1754 at Bradford, Yorkshire "Robert Verity and Ann Furness of Shipley".^[1]

Robert is mentioned as "Robert Verity of Shipley" in the baptisms of several of his children at Bradford during the 1760's.^[2]
