Elizabeth was the daughter of George Verney of Compton Verney, Warwickshire. Her father died on 8 April 1574: the tombstone mentions four daughters, of whom Elizabeth will have been one, and she will have been born before that.
Before 1593 (when her daughter Elizabeth was baptised) she married John Bourchier and Jane Lucy. They had eight sons and four daughters.
She was alive at the time of her husband's death in 1626: she renounced the administration of his estate.

... I have now reminded myself that Douglas Richardson states that, when Elizabeth's husband died in 1626, she renounced the administration of his will. Assuming that is right, she died after that. I have amended the death info and added a short paragraph to the bio. But if anyone has a reliable source for the previously given death date of 18 Jan 1612, it would be good to have it. It is possible there has been confusion between two Elizabeth Bourchiers.
Elizabeth's death date is given as 18 January 1612, place Warwickshire. Does anyone know of a reliable source for this information, which is found quite widely in unsourced trees on the web? (She was likely to have been alive in May 1610 when her youngest child was baptised.)
