Thomas Vernon was the son of Bowater Vernon and his second wife Jane Cornwallis.[1] He was born on 7 June 1724 at his parents house in Bond Street, London.[2] He was baptised at St Martin in the Fields on 30 June. [3]
He married Emma Cornewall, daughter of Charles Cornewall MP of Berrington in Herefordshire. (HOP calls him James then records for James that he was unmarried and mentions no children).[1] She bore him a son who died in Thomas' lifetime and a daughter. He succeeded his father on 30 November 1735.
Thomas was returned to Parliament as member for Worcester in 1746 serving until 1761.[1]
Thomas died on 9 December 1771[1] and was buried at St Mary, Stoke Newington on 22 April 1771. [4]
