James was a Friend (Quaker)
1776 Project
Private James Vernon Sr. served with Guilford County Regiment, North Carolina Militia during the American Revolution.

James Vernon's parents were Isaac Vernon II (1715-1786) and Hannah (Townsend) Vernon (1718-1791).
