Georg Versch was born July 23, 1864,. He is the son of Johann Versch and Anna Schwartz.

Georg Versch was one of seven siblings:

• Catherina Versch, who remained in Bayern. We have a birthday of July 31, 1859, but we also have a Catherina Versch dying in Teunz in 1871 at the age of 18. So we don't know for sure if this is she or if the death was for an aunt or cousin.
• Josef Versch,born 1857 in Teunz, Bayern, who married Anna Schafer, had children and immigrated to Buffalo, New York, USA in January 1893 where they had more children.
• Georg Versch, born July 23, 1864, who remained in Bayern
• Adam Versch, born September 11, 1866, who immigrated to Herndon, Rawlings, Kansas, USA, married twice and ended up with 26 children and step-children, 60 grandchildren and dozens of great grandchildren.
• Rosina "Rosalie" Versch, born November 13, 1868, who probably died as a baby at the age of 3 years old on December 25, 1871.
• Martin J. Versch, who immigrated to Buffalo, New York, USA, traveled to Herndon, Kansas, lived for a while in Dunkirk, NY, married Matilda F. Schirck, had children and eventually settled in Buffalo, Erie, County NY where he raised six children, before passing away in Lancaster, New York in 1953.
• Walberga Versch, who remained in Bayern.
