OBITUARIES Deaths In the Cleveland Area B.F. Vick

SHAW - Services for B. F. Vick, 90, retired farmer were Thursday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Fletcher Funeral Home in Cleveland with the Rev.Albert Breazeale officiating. Burial was in the Shaw Cemetery with Fletcher Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Vick died Wednesday at 5:30 a.m. in the East Bolivar County Hospital following an illness of five weeks.

Born in Tennington (sic), Tex., he was a resident of Cleveland for 16 years before moving to Shaw in 1931. He engaged in farming until his retirement. He was a member of the Shaw Baptist Church.

He is survived by two sons, J. H. Vick of Clarksdale and Grady Vick of Rosedale; five daughters, Mrs. Russell McIntyre and Mrs. Linus Mullen, both of Shaw, Mrs. C. H. Crowe of Benoit, Mrs. Merlin Clark of Wichita, Kans., and Mrs. Ben Roberts of Lawton, Okla.; 28 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were grandsons.

Note by Jason F. VICK: There is no Tennington, Texas. B.F.VICK put Pennington, Texas on his SSA application in 1948. Likely just an obituary typo. =)
