"Paris youngster killed an 8-year-old Paris boy was fatally injured Saturday, according to police. Jeremy Dale Vick, 1358 Bonham St., died about 6:30 p.m. after being accidentally shot in the head with a 12-gauge shotgun, reports said. The accident occurred in the 1800 block of North Main Street. Graveside services were scheduled for 3 p.m. Monday, April 20, at the Odd Fellows Cemetery on Pine Bluff Street with the Rev. Jerry Hollowell officiating. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. He was born April 10, 1979, in Hawaii, a son of Frank and Cindy Stokes Vick. He was a member of a Sunday school class at First Baptist Church and was a first-grade student at Justiss Elementary School. He was a member of the Cubs Little League Baseball Team. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Cindy and Carl Weaver of Paris; his father and stepmother, Frank and Lea Vick of Wetumka, Ala.; two brothers, Jason Vick of Paris and Chris Weaver of Memphis, Tenn.; four sisters, Jennifer Weaver of Memphis, Amanda and Ashley Weaver of Paris and Meridith Vick of Wetumka; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Stokes of Arcola, Miss., Mr. and Mrs. Bill Williams of Paris and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vick Sr. of Greenville, Miss. ^[1]
