Moses Vickery was born April 3, 1768, the son of Moses Vickery and Sarah Trefry of Marblehead, Massachusetts[1], and was christened in 1771[2]
About 1773, the family moved to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Moses married Elizabeth Mary Walker, daughter of John Walker[1], and their children included:
William, born circa 1795, who married Gertrude Tedford, daughter of Samuel Tedford, and died in 1872[3]
Abner, born 1801, who married Cythia Eldridge, daughter of Ebenezer Eldridge[4], and then married Mary (Larkin) Wyman, widow of William Wyman[5]
Samuel, born 1810, who married Elizabeth McKenna, daughter of Jonathan McKenna, and then, on January 7, 1847, he married Mary (Goudey) Britt, daughter of William Britt[6]
Moses 3rd, who married Edith McKenna, daughter of Jonathan McKenna[7]
Sarah, who married John B. Smith, son of Job Smith, on May 10, 1827[8]
Hannah, who married Captain Stephen Eldridge, son of Ebenezer Eldridge, and died June 1, 1859
Asa Walker, born 1812, who married Letitia Corning, daughter of Samuel Corning, on March 8, 1832, and lived in Ontario[9]
Elizabeth, who married Warren Poole
Mehitable, born 1817, who married Captain J. Harvey Eldridge, son of Ebenezer Eldridge, and then married Captain Reuben Scovil, son of Levi[10]
Emeline, who married William Flint, son of David Flint
