Moses was born in 1737, likely in Massachusetts[1]
On September 24, 1761, he married Sarah Trefry, daughter of John Trefry and Hannah Pitman[2]. About 1773[1], the family moved to Chebogue, Yarmouth Nova Scotia, where Sarah's brothers Joshua and John, and her sister Mary had settled.
