Eric Norman James Vidler was born on 1890 in Nowra, New South Wales, Australia [1], the son of John Vidler J.P. and Caroline Sarah Knight and the brother of Sarah Matilda Mercy Vidler, Henry Robert Sidney Vidler, Arthur Edward Ernest Vidler, William Lindsay Vidler, Margaret Amelia Ellen Vidler, Marion Isabella Mary (Vidler) Shortus, Isaac John Charles Vidler and Carrie Nita Pearl Vidler.

He married Helen (Ellen) (Gooding) Leighton on 26 September 1925 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia [2][3].

Eric died on 22 March 1963 in Katoomba, New South Wales, Australia [4].
