Cyville Vidrine was a Prisoner of War during the United States Civil War.

Cyville Vidrine, son of Florentin Vidrine and Celise Lafleur, was born in Louisiana on 29 Oct 1833[1] and baptized at St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas, Louisiana on 30 October 1834.[2] [3]

He married Emeline Guillory in the St. Landry Parish Courthouse in 1857.[4]

  3. Octava Vidrine (c.1870)

He fought in the Civil War for the Confederacy,[9][10] and was a prisoner of war.[11]

He and Emeline were counted on the census again in 1870.[12]

Emeline died in 1879.[13] He was counted on the census in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana in 1880 as a widower with five children at home.[14]

He married Murtile Guillory on 20 December 1880 in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.[15]

He was counted on the census in St. Landry Parish in 1900.[16]

He died in 1913 at Grand Prairie, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, and was buried at the Old Grand Prairie Cemetery in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.[1]
