Longtime Pullman resident Margaret J. (Peggy) McCroskey passed away peacefully Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, at Bishop Place Senior Living Facility.
Margaret was born Oct. 30, 1932, in Edmore N.D., to Goodwin and Lucille Viger. She moved to the Palouse area with her family when she was a child.
She married Richard McCroskey in Moscow in the fall of 1949, and they raised two children, Mark and Janet. Richard passed away in November 2004.
Margaret worked for Pullman Memorial Hospital for more than 20 years and made many friends. She retired in the mid-1990s. She enjoyed assembling jigsaw puzzles, family gatherings and getting together with her bridge club friends.
Margaret is survived by son Mark McCroskey (Cecilia) of Deer Park, Wash.; daughter Jan Bauer (Terry) of Poulsbo, Wash.; grandson Ryan McCroskey of Deer Park; sister Gerry Nelson (Harold) of Hayden, Idaho; brother Dean Viger (Kathy) of Spokane; and many nieces and nephews. She was loved and will be missed.
