Paul Russell Viles was born on 16 March 1918 at Newton Hospital, Newton, MIddlesex, Massachusetts, the son of Russell I. Viles, 25 born at Medford, Massachusetts, and Pauline M Lucas, 23 born at Gardner, Massachusetts. The family lived at 243 Ward Street, Newton, and Russell was a private in the U.S. Army. By 27 Jan 1919, the family had moved to Watertown, Massachusetts.
Paul enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps on 16 Oct 1942 at Boston. He had complete 4 years of high school, his civilian occupation was "Semiskilled mechanics and repairmen, n.e.c.", and was married.
Paul died on 18 Feb 2008 at Bridgton, Cumberland County, Maine, and is buried at the Friendship Cemetery, Standish, Cumberland, Maine. His last residence, for Social Security purposes, was Bridgton.
