Martha Jane Vincent was born on March 29, 1834, in Kentucky. She married Howard Granville Hendren on April 26, 1849. They had eight children in 23 years. She died in 1919 in Monroe, Missouri, having lived a long life of 85 years, and was buried in Woodlawn, Missouri.
