Susanna Vincent (some sources Susannah Vinson) was born about 1775, the daughter of Joseph Vincent and Rosanna Poole. She married William Henry Legg on 1 January 1795 in Greenbriar County, Virginia. They had 13 children. Susanna died in 1860 and is buried in Nicholas County, Virginia. [1]
Her husband, William Henry Legg was born abt 1772 in Prince William or Monroe County, Virginia. t. He died on 13 October 1859 in Laurel Creek, Nicholas County, Virginia and is buried in the same county. He was a farmer in the area.
Notes: William Henry Legg was the son of Thomas Legg (b. 1748 Prince William Co.) and Elizabeth Hughes (b. 1750). There is some argument over the line beyond that point, but the traditional lineage is that Thomas was the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Legg, grandson of Thomas and Sarah Davenport Legg, and great-grandson of another Thomas Legg.
