Biography

Malcolm was born in Christchurch, New Zealand in 1914. He was the son of Arthur Vincent and Irene Rodmell. ^[1]

Malcolm married Evelyn Florence (last name as yet unknown). There is a divorce record when searching the New Zealand Archway archives which notes 1958-1959. ^[2] it is likely that Heather Vincent is/was the daughter of Malcolm and Evelyn.

My father [Vincent-2549 Geoff Vincent], his nephew, helped Malcolm in his later years. He visited him frequently. I have heard men sometimes knitted, but so far Malcolm is the only man I've known who could. I wasn't especially close to him, for no other reason than I didn't see him often. My father received Power Of Attorney to care for his needs in his last days. He was a nice man, with a gentle soul.

Malcolm passed away in 1999 at Cashmere View Hospital at 72 Rose Street, Christchurch, New Zealand at the age of 84. ^[3] His remains were donated to the Otago School of medicine for scientific purposes. His lasting remains were cremated on 30th November 2001 and scattered in Dunedin a few days later. ^[4]
