Biography

Pierre Vincent was born 22 Oct 1723. He was the son of Clement Vincent and Madeleine Levron. He was baptized at birth by Abraham Bourg and ceremonies took place 31 Oct 1723 at Port Royal. His godparents were Pierre Levron and Marie Joseph Vincent.^[1][2]

He married three times, his first marriage was to Blanche Michel, daughter of Louis Michel and Marguerite Forest about 1743 in Acadia.

2. Isidore VINCENT ca 1748- (Uncertain. Name of mother in marriage record to Palin is Marguerite Foré. ^[3] PRDH does not link this Isidore to Clément Vincent and Blanche Michel) ^[4]

He married second Rosalie Barrieau, daughter of Antoine and Angelique Thibodeau 8 May 1752, Port Lajoie, Isle St. Jean, Acadia.^[5]

They were listed on the 1752 census at Rivière-du-Moulin-à-Scie, Isle Saint-Jean, with 2 children from his previous marriage with Blanche Michel. Rosalie's parents and brother Antoine were living on the neighbouring lots.^[6]

He married third Marie Francoise Paquet, daughter of Philippe and Dorothee Plante 21 February 1757, St. Jean, Isle d'Orleans, Quebec. They had 9 children.

   They have one son and one daughter:-

   Hesidore Vincent, aged 4 years.

   Anne, aged 8 years.

   The land upon which they are settled is situated as in the preceding cases, it was given to them verbally by Monsieur de Bonnaventure, on which said land they have made a clearing of two arpents in extent.
