By 1861, John had died, and Rosina was lving in Honiton, with sons Reuben (16) and David (14). Reuben had work as a watchmaker's apprentice, and David was an errand boy. It would appear the family was not well off, and the boys were supporting their widowed mother. Rosina's mother, Ann, was also living with them.
