Biography

Arcangelo Vintaloro, son of the late Francesco Vintaloro and Maria Pumara, marries Lucia Sciacchitano, daughter of the late Giovanni Sciacchitano and Maria (whose surname is not given), on 24 October 1763.^[1]

They have at least three children: Francesco (c. 1765), Giovanni (1776) and Maria (c. 1783).

Francesco is named after his paternal grandfather, which is traditional for the first born son. I estimate he is born within a couple years of his parents' marriage.

Giovanni is born and baptized 5 December 1776. His godparents are Don Leoluca Pomara and Lucia Cardella, who is unmarried.^[2]

Maria is born around 1783, based on her reported age in 1807.

Maria marries Francesco Paolo Cascio on 7 January 1794. Her parents are living at this time.^[3]

Francesco marries Giovanna Cutrono on 24 April 1797.^[4]

Maria dies around age 54 on 4 October 1837. The record of her death calls her Francesca and calls her mother Lucia Zabbia. This record also erroneously claims that her husband, Francesco Paolo, survives her.
